This month, Nissan unveiled its new Rogue Sport at the 2017 North American International Auto Show.
The Rogue Sport is a minor change in direction from the top-selling Nissan Rogue. The Rogue is a more family-friendly, mid-size crossover. In contrast, the urban-fitted features of the new Rogue Sport symbolize a dynamic move to expand its urban audience.

Nissan Rogue Sport Bundles Smarts, Safety, and Sensibility
Safety
José Muñoz, chief performance officer of Nissan Motor Co., spoke at the company’s presentation in Detroit. Muñoz praised the Rogue Sport for its “advanced Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies” and for being “fun-to-drive.”
For new customers, the Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield offers a whole host of features to keep passengers safe. Some of them are:
- pedestrian detection
- automatic front braking
- blind spot alert
- lane departure warning and assist.
The Rogue Sport also comes with available technology to help you keep connected to the road and to the world around you. Drivers can keep their focus on the road thanks to technology features such as Bluetooth® compatibility.
Driving Dynamics
The Rogue Sport will be great whether you’re experiencing a sudden downpour or taking a quick weekend out of town. Available all-wheel drive will allow you to go anywhere at any time while on dry pavement or in poor weather. AWD can also provide you with amazing handling and traction while going into corners.
Underneath, the Rogue Sport is packing a 141-horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a continuously variable transmission. EPA estimates are to be determined, but if it’s anything like Nissan’s crossovers, you can expect a combination of satisfying power and sensible fuel economy.
Design
Make yourself noticeable with the new exterior features of the Rogue Sport. Some of these are flared fenders, slimmer V-Motion grille, trimmer headlights, and 19” wheels. This crossover has a commanding height that gives you a clear view of the urban environment all around you. It’s also the perfect size for those stressful moments when you’re looking around for tight-fitting street parking.
The Rogue Sport will seat five and has dynamic 60/40 split-folding rear seats. The trunk floor panels are also easily adjustable, so you can come up with a variety of configurations for loading up. All this gives you more cargo space whether it’s for daily essentials or weekend getaways.
